Water Columns and Probes

For applications up to 3000 psi


The Level-Trac liquid level Water Columns feature sturdy construction and are fully compliant with PG60. They may be used as an independent remote level indicator or as a traditional water column for the mounting of direct reading sight glasses. We offer various piping connections to meet customers' specifications.

The Level-Trac liquid level Probes are capable of operating up to 3000 psi working steam pressure and to a maximum temperature of 1100 degrees F. We offer a Metalflex™ gasket for secure sealing at the column as well as a Level-Lock metal to metal compression fitting design to ensure full penetration welds. Standard features include ceramic to metal vacuum brazing and zirconium/aluminosilicate oxide insulators. Additional OEM probes are also available through Quest-Tec Solutions.

QTS: Magne-Trac

Magne-Trac Liquid Level Indicator

For applications up to 3000 psi


There are three major components of a VEGAMAG liquid level indicator: Chamber, Float and Indicator.
Magne-Trac Chamber: The chamber may be constructed of any non-magnetic material, including austenitic stainless steel, alloys such as Carpenter 20, and plastics.

Magne-Trac Float: Standard floats are constructed of thin wall, deep drawn 316 Stainless Steel or Type 1 Titanium. Optional materials are available.

Magne-Trac Indicator: The standard indicator consists of anodized aluminum housing, rotating flags, and a clear cover. The flags are uniquely constructed of high temperature molded nylon. The standard UV stable Yellow/Black colors are molded into the flags.

QTS: Glass-Trac

Reflex, Transparent and Tubular Gages

Excellent indication viewing


Glass-Trac Reflex Gages use prism glass to provide an excellent indication of the liquid level. All liquids appear black in contrast to the mirror-like surface above. This clean line of separation can be sighted from many yards away. Standard features include our machined recess on wide chamber, high strength forged covers and various connection types.

Glass-Trac Transparent Gages use clear, see-through glass on both sides so that both the color and the interface of liquids can be viewed. Electric lighted gage illuminators are available for use on transparent gages and provide easy viewing of liquid levels in dimly lighted areas.

Glass-Trac Tubular Glass Gages are available in any length desired and can be fitted with tubular style gage valves.

QTS: Steam-Trac

Gauging Water and Steam from 300 to 3000 PSI

Sturdy construction with excellent viewing


Our extensive Steam-Trac product line was designed specifically for several models of water gage / steam gages with high pressure ranges from 300 psi working steam pressure to 3000 psi working steam pressure.
Standard features include cadmium plated bolting, high temperature paint, spring washers, high quality Mica, and Stainless Steel reinforced grafoil gaskets. Additional options make the Steam-Trac ideal for your full range of steam level gage requirements.

Level Trac products include:

  • ST-300: Indication to 300 psi without overlapping

QTS: Illuminators

See-Level™ Illuminator for Transparent Level Gages

Illuminator for hazardous locations


The Quest-Tec Solutions See-Level™ LED Illuminator for hazardous locations utilizes the latest technology to provide brilliant green back lighting to any process gage. Innovative circuitry allows for the use of an individual light source every ½" along the length of any gage. With a life span of over 100,000 hours each, the LED's last 200 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Even in the event of an individual lamp failure, the design provides lighting overlap ensuring that the fluid level is always illuminated. All of this is accomplished with a meager 5 watts of power usage.

Steam-Trac STBI-3000 Illuminator

Ported bicolor direct reading gage


The Steam-Trac STBI-3000 Illuminator matches long lasting LED lamps to a rugged fabricated enclosure to set an unsurpassed standard of reliability for bicolor water gage illumination. Each port has 4 each red and green LEDs to provide a brilliant display. To comply with ASME Section I, PG60, a ported gage must provide a means for obvious discrimination between steam and water. This requirement mandates that a ported gage must have a working illuminator.

By using LED lamps, the frequent maintenance associated with incandescent type lamps is virtually eliminated. When coupled with the Steam-Trac STB-3000 bicolor gage, users will experience a dramatic improvement in performance and extended maintenance cycles. The Steam-Trac bicolor gage and illumination system is field proven and has become the preferred product over competitive designs.
